Oprah's Favorite Things 2010 - Gift Guide

Well, as we know this is that last season of Oprah this year and one of the yearly shows that many will miss is Oprah’s favorite things. This year the audience was filled with people who preformed fantastic charitable contributions throughout the world. When I see this show it always reminds me that the season of gift giving is upon us; to be thankful for what we have; and remember to help out charitable causes that help the less fortunate. Hopefully this list of favorite things will help you, as it helps me begin my shopping.

The first favorite thing was a Phillip Stein limited edition Oprah watch with diamonds. You are able to purchase this watch with or without diamonds. To signify Oprah the watch has two “O’s”.

Oprah loves Tory Burch and gifted the audience with a grey Tory Burch flannel tote lined in silver. Inside of the tote there was a flat pair of reva ballerina shoes designed by Tory Burch. Like the bag the shoes were silver.

Oprah talked about the photos that she has been taking with friends and family and said that people must be getting tired of the small wallet sized cameras, so why not use the camera with all the bells and whistles.  The Nikon D3100 can be a point and shoot camera, has all the high tech features, like a pro and also has a high definition video camera.

For Oprah’s anniversary year Ralph Lauren and Oprah made a cashmere ‘sand’ colored sweater.  This cable net sweater has “for Oprah” on the label right along with the traditional Ralph Lauren signature label. 

Get the matching “for Oprah” cable knit signature throw.  There is nothing better than cozying up with a good book or movie in a warm cashmere throw.  The cashmere is so soft and luxurious.

 Look like a millionaire wearing these stylish earrings.  Judith Ripka designed these stunning “Eclipse” earrings.

Oprah has had her hair styled by the same person, Andre Walker, for the last 20 some odd years.  He now has his own line of hair and make up.  In the package there was Q-oil (body and shine lotion), a little brush to touch up the roots, etc.

Lafco House of Candles has created candles that burn evenly and release the desired amount of scent.  There are 18 scents of candles available from Lafco House of Candle.

This is a classic in house grill that can be used to make so many dishes.  Oprah loves to make the “Love Sandwich” for her man.  It is made with scallions, olive oil, mayo, turkey, pepper jack cheese, basil leaves and choice of bread (sour dough or whole grain bread was suggested).  The recipe for the Love Sandwich is included with the Breville Panini Press.

This is a fantastic 2 piece knife set.

This is a uniquely shaped pan that weaves.  The theory is that it is the width of a lasagna noodle and if you make brownies you are guaranteed an outside chewy piece.  This pan was also given with Ghirardelli Brownie mix.

This is a Cookbook that has “21 spiritual lessons for surrendering your weight forever”.

This is a book written by Jay Z.  Oprah said that she had an ah ha moment while reading this book because it gave her a new perspective on hip hop and rap music.

Netflix is a really great idea for a movie lover.  You are able to get around 20,000 streamlined movies downloaded off the internet to your computer or tv for your viewing pleasure.  Or if you wish they can mail you the movie and you return it via mail.

Get a new perspective while watching a 3D tv.  Movies will never be the same at home with a unique movie watching experience.

With the new blue ray player movies will be clear and crisp for all you movie viewing.  It will be like the ‘cinema’ experience in your own home.

This is a fantastic idea!  You donate a monitory donation and the proceeds go towards small loans for business entrepreneurs.  This is the gift of a dream, a better future, etc.

At the Container Store you are able to organize yourself, amazing as that seems.  The gift was the Elfa Closet, closet organizer.

Get an Oprah v neck t-shirt celebrating the 25 year anniversary of the Oprah Store.  The shirts come in pink, black, white, blue and green.

Oprah loves the great bum you get from wearing the black drawstring pants.

Nike running shoes are great for the whole family, so everyone in the audience received a pair of Nike run free running shoes for their whole family.

Oprah ultimate gift was to fly everyone on United Airlines to enjoy a Royal Caribbean Cruise.  The guests will enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Allure Seas Ship.  This ship is the  biggest cruise ship in the world.

Oprah loves to have people perform on the show, so to end the show she had the Black Eyed Peas perform to end the show.
